Have your eye on the Thundering Echo Alpha position? Well now is the perfect opportunity for you to get it! There are a few requirements for you to know, however, before you post your audition. First, your character must already be made and accepted. This only makes it easier for me to choose when I can look at their personality (weaknesses, strengths, etc). Second, don't make a character just for audition purposes. If your character doesn't get chosen, then we'll expect you to role-play them anyway. Also, as stated in the rules you may only have one high position, so if you get chosen for this spot you can't audition for another one. However, feel free to audition for another position if your character doesn't get chosen for this one. Please make sure you have read all the rules before auditioning, and you are using the correct form when you post (form can be found below).
*NOTE - This is not an audition for both alpha positions - I will be choosing either an alpha male or an alpha female. Once someone's character gets chosen their future mate will become the second alpha position.
Copy and paste the code below and reply here with your audition. OOC name: Cylant or just Cy character's name: Cylant age: 3 Years gender: Female why your character is good for this role: Cylant was born a loner and didn't join the pack until much later in life. Her mother taught her the basics to survival and loners taught her other, more detailed, attacks and such. After showing what she could do, she was accepted into the pack as a hunter. She was always learning. When the beta pair died, she started helping out with assembling hunting trips and making sure people kept up. She became beta when the Alphess saw what she was doing for the pack. A few months later, the Alpha became sick. He was, after all, always getting injured. This time, it got infected. No matter what anyone tried, the Alpha died from the infection. The Alphess became distraught, so Cy picked up the pace. No one saw her as replacing the Alphess, they didn't mind- seeing as Cy was beta. A month later, the Alphess died from the sadness she felt since her mate died (this can happen to animals- they give up living, basically. This has happened to my neighbor's cats before.) Beta was given first chance and Cy nearly didn't... Then she remembered how well the pack always seemed while she was in charge. She accepted the duties and no male was with her at the time.
RP Example: Cylant
Wind whipped through the canyons, making a howling sound off the rocks. Her pack's dens lay just ahead. Maybe, the Alphess was feeling better... No. It wouldn't happen. So far, no one had seemed to notice- except Cylant. The way the Fae ate little and when she did it was slowly. She had stopped drinking water. The Alphess, Alik, was soon to leave. Not leave the pack- leave life. She was likely to die peacefully, sleeping or just lying down.
Cy sighed and stopped for a moment. She would have to speak with the Alphess... Soon. For, this pack could not continue on like this. They need both an Alpha and an Alphess... And just Cy wouldn't cut it. She had no mate. This meant no Alpha if she were to become Alphess. Then again, who wouldn't want to be Alpha with a pretty Fae like Cylant by his side? Well... Actually, a lot of wolves. You see, Cylant won't take laziness. She'll take matters in her own manner if she has to - and basically not leave it to some other wolf.
This however, made it hard for some people to go against her. Everyone's afraid of what Cy had been before she joined: a brute of a Fae... What's worse, a loner. Cy was still strong. Cy looked ahead to the caves in front of her. Moving along slowly, she heard whispers. Horrid things like, "She's dead... They said she was out... Maybe she was exiled." What were they talking about.
There was a circle of wolves around the Alphess's den. She walked ahead of them, head held high and looking dignified. What was this? The words buzzed into her head.
"You must have come to pay your final respects?" A voice came to her ears as she stared at the dead Alphess. Cy nodded and moved closer to the Fae.
"Rest, now, Alik. With your love at your side," Cy said, gently. She touched her nose to the Alphess's and licked her shoulder, carefully.
Cylant sighed and left the den. Soon enough, a new Alphess and Alpha were to be found. Could Cy and her to-be-found-mate be them? What would they be like, if not Cy? Would they be accepted-- of course. These questions were all over camp. Cy shook her head and moved up onto the ledge that was above the camp.
"Pack!" She called. In just a few minutes, they had assembled. "Our Alphess, Alik, has died. Peacefully, in her sleep. We have now, not sorrow, but hope! Hope the new age will be joyous and bring much good to our pack! That we will be strong and well fed in the coming seasons! Please, my friends, my family, be joyful. Be ready. For soon, there will be a new Alpha, along with a new set of rules and new comrades." Cylant's voice rang through the mountain. The old was gone, now, it was time for the new.
And maybe, Cy was that new. The new to bring joy and good will to the pack. To keep them fed and warm. Maybe... Just maybe...
